The Old Bell Hotel is a beacon of Derby’s history and heritage stretching back over 350 years. The Old Bell Hotel is Derby’s largest and last surviving coaching inn and has played a huge role in the history of Derby. The grade II listed building was constructed in 1650 and was considered one of the most prestigious coaching inns outside of London. For much of the 17th and 18th century The Old Bell Hotel was a centre for travel, food, hospitality and leisure as well as the home to many families. Boasting four functions rooms, three bars and The Belfry restaurant, The Old Bell Hotel continues to be at the centre of Derby’s food, drink and entertainment scene.
